The blog aims to be an informal forum for debate and commentary on climate science in our journals and others, in the news, and in the world at large.

Climate Feedback: blog policy

This is an abbridged version of how to use and contribute to our blog. Before using this site, please consult our full Terms and Conditions. We encourage visitors to contribute to this website, but ask that contributors follow these guidelines:
  1. Comments will be moderated to ensure compliance with terms of use of the blog. This will not usually delay posting comments, but may do in some cases such as on evening, weekends and holidays. Contributors are asked to be patient.
  2. Comments that raise questions, request clarification, stimulate discussion and challenge opinion are encouraged.
  3. Comments can be as critical or controversial as you like, but should not be personal or offensive, or contain inappropriate or misleading material or links. For a full list of what we consider personal, offensive and otherwise unacceptable, please see our full terms and conditions.
  4. Comments may be edited for spelling errors and for clarity before posting and without notification.
  5. Only comments relevant to the blog will be posted.
  6. Comments may be moderated. Moderation can include, but is not restricted to, editing or rejecting comments of inappropriate content, at the discretion of the moderator.
  7. The blog moderator reserves the right to withhold posting comments that repeat points previously raised and discussed or that are deliberately misleading or factually erroneous.
  8. Comments will close after a set period of time (usually one month) decided by the moderator or may be closed beforehand if comment lists become unwieldy.
  9. All material posted to the site is NPG copyright. Do not to submit any material that is protected by copyright or any other intellectual property rights unless you are the owner of those rights, or you have permission to publish that material.
  10. Users are asked not to use the website as a forwarding service to another website.
  11. Offenders of the blog rules, such as those trolling, stalking or otherwise harassing another, will be excluded from future participation.
