Knit the Universe

If bats and dead bodies aren’t really your style for this weekend, fear not: I have news of a more sedate but no less scientific activity for you.

Stitch London and the Science Museum have teamed up for the second year to stitch, knit, crochet and embroider the scientific world. Last year’s Stitch Yourself was a special one-off exhibition to mark the re-opening of the Who Am I? gallery and this year will go even further: crafty types have the whole of science to choose from.

So if you’re feeling creative, go over to the Stitch London site to have a look. They have inspiration from previous stitchers (I especially like the DNA double helix) and all the details. Contributions must reach Stitch London by 17th June, so get knitting!
