3D Brains in Second Life
I was reading through a cognitive neuroscience paper in Neuroimage yesterday for a news story I’m writing. As is often the case, the paper was full of references to brain regions but only contained one figure showing some imaging results (there were loads of fairly impenetrable tables instead). It struck me that Second Life might be able to help with this kind of problem – by displaying a 3D brain (like this one perhaps, but more detailed) that the user could pull apart or walk around at will.
