In my opinion, reviewers’ name should be always disclosed.
The reviewing process is meant to evaluate whether a work is technically and conceptually sound, scientifically meaningful and new. This evaluation step should ideally provide suggestions and comments that will ultimately help the authors of a paper to improve their work.
So, if this is true and no personal interests are involved, why do reviewers need to be ‘protected’ by anonymity?
