Fish fight breaks out over tiny catch

You might be more used to arguments about who has caught the biggest fish. But this week a squabble has broken out among zoologists, each of whom is claiming to have found the smallest.

Bill Watson and I published a paper in 2004, cited by the authors, which describes undoubtedly the world's lightest vertebrate, Schindleria brevipinguis, the stout infantfish. I believe most people will agree that the smallest is the organism with the least mass (weight).

I think the world's smallest fish is found in sumatra which 7.9mm long it is found in year 2006. You can see the news here http://www.nhm.ac.uk/about-us/news/2006/jan/news_7501.html
