Chew on this: the gum that fights cancer

Slow-release treatment could mop up carcinogens in the mouth.

It freshens breath, protects teeth and even, if you believe the commercials, makes you immensely popular. But Finnish researchers are hoping that chewing gum could soon pull off an even more ambitious trick: helping to stave off cancer.

What kind of chewing gum? No we have sugarless and whitening, or the article refers to the old chewing gums with white sugar?
Or another kind of gum?

Not so many researches were successful in the field. And those successful cost a fortune. That's why I hardly believe it's possible.
