I may not possess the knowledge on semantics and descriptive languages like XML/RDF others have, but I do know the problem of classifying information from a linguistic point of view. There's never an unique, 1 to 1 relation, it's all about probability. And because classification is also context dependent, multidimensional as well. Here Moore's law helps: gigaflops of processing power, together with the growth in paralell processing means that many possible outcomes of such classifications are much more easily obtainable than before. Since marketing is also about the probability of influencing people, Web 2.0 thinking fits nicely inbetween semantics, ICT and marketing trends!

The Nobel Peace Center at Oslo is an excellent venue to host a Global Conference on Science, Technology and Culture.
Don's comments reflect the current global problems in Knowledge Management faced by the World Community. Perhaps Nature can organise and sponsor a Global Conference on Science, Technology and Culture and lead the way towards a solution.
