Fully grown cells yield clones
Adult blood cells seem to be easier to reprogramme than stem cells.
By cloning two mice from cells fated never to divide again, researchers in the United States have defied the notion that cloning mammals is easiest from stem cells, or other cells that are still dividing.

The heading "Adult blood cells seem to be easier to reprogramme than stem cells." is slightly misleading. The hematopoeitic cells were actually from 9-week-old female BDF1 mice. This impression could fuel the political drive to avoid using embryonic stem cells. The title of the paper is :Differentiated cells are more efficient than adult stem cells for cloning by somatic cell nuclear transfer"
