This looney tunes article about how AIDS is causing/contributing to deforestation is white liberal guilt gone insane. I'm an American. I've lived in the so called 3rd world for 25 years. Deforestation is happening in a quest for fuel for rapidly growing populations (what else are poor people to do? Buy a propane barbecue?) and for profit. Period. End of story. To claim, as this article wildly does, that people are cutting down forests to build coffins is beyond stupid. BTW the population in Africa is not declining, it's growing.
