These mice are made for grooming

Gene knockout gives mice OCD symptoms.

Mice with some of the hallmarks of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) have been bred by knocking out a single gene. While the mouse model isn't a perfect mimic for the human condition, researchers hope it will shed new light on our understanding of this debilitating disorder.

As someone who suffers with severe OCD and has for years with little help from current treatent for it!! I am glad to see any research on this HELLISH disease!!!Do you know that between 6 to 8 million people in the U.S. alone suffer from OCD, and that is just the ones that we know about,because of the stigma attached to it and the sufferer is very aware of his condition, alot suffer in silence,i know i did for years!!!! Thank you for the research article!! Tony
