Redesign glitches
Dear Nature News readers,
Our apologies, but with the site relaunch we are experiencing some glitches. We are aware that some people are having difficulty accessing the site or logging in to comment or read pay-protected stories. If you have bookmarked stories from our old site, these links are temporarily not working. We expect all these issues to be solved very soon, and we ask for your patience.
Sincerely,
Nicola Jones

Your site (maybe for the first time) requires that I leave my computer open to data gathering by AKAMAI and other companies that I haven't identified yet. I won't do this, and as a result, I am unable to link to any of your stories. This is not what I paid for.
[Editor's note: We use Akamai (http://www.akamai.com/) as a content delivery network(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_Delivery_Network) to improve the performance of the site. This is standard practice in the industry and Akamai are one of the largest providers. My technology team tells me this shouldn't leave you open to data gathering as we don't require the user to download or install any software or cookies in relation to this. If you know otherwise, please do say so here or to redesign@nature.com. Thanks!]
