This year’s Science Online conference was divided into workshops, discussion sessions, science inspired events and museum tours. Below is a Storify collating the tweets from the Attention Economy & Influence Metrics session moderated by Adrian J. Ebsary and nature.com’s Lou Woodley.
The session focused on the various tools that claim to measure user influence across social networks, and how to interpret these scores and understand their limitations. The conversation also delved into some of the issues and etiquette around the ways you can increase your influence, such as listing, favouriting, public shout-outs, awarding K+ or #ff.
Feel free to let us know if we have left out any tweets or if you have blogged about this session. You can check out Adrian’s coverage here.
