Chemical showers

Best house-warming gift.

Ever.

Period.

Well, periodic, really...

Along with the fantastic wine, flowers and chocolates, we now have a fabulous periodic table shower curtain (Thanks Tom)! OK, we've all seen periodic table mugs and T-shirts, but a shower curtain of the elements - I didn't know such things existed...

What other periodic table paraphernalia have you come across - and can anybody beat a shower curtain!?

Something you may or may not know about--The Periodic Table by Primo Levi. Each chapter is named after an element.

I was just notified last night that this item is now available, from the same place that you can acquire a periodic table curtain: http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/science/8fc5/

Today's actually my birthday (20, ugh, old-sounding), and I intent to acquire those magnets with the extra funds in my bank account. As for stuff I already have from ThinkGeek, the following is one of my favorite shirts. (Nevermind the periodic - no pun intended - "NEEEEEERD" catcalls when friends stop to actually read what I'm wearing.) http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/science/8953/ :D

I considered incorporating mention of those fabulous "toys" into a new post, but, nah. Congrats on the housewarming

You ask for periodic table paraphanalia. Easy old chap.

Can't resist a plug for the ultimate piece of periodic table paraphanalia!

My book on the periodic table,

The Periodic Table: Its Story and Its Significance, Oxford University Press, 2007.

The book has had excellent reviews and was recently named among "outstanding academic books of the year 2007 by Choice library magazine.
