The first bumper issue of The ISME (International Society for Microbial Ecology) Journal is now in press, and will be published by Nature Publishing Group on 1 May. The editors and publishers will be showcasing the new journal at the forthcoming 107th general Americal Microbiology Society meeting in Toronto from 21 to 25 May, so if you are attending, please look out for ISME editors Mark Bailey (Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, Oxford), John Heidelberg (University of Southern California) and George Kowalchuk (Netherlands Institute of Ecology), as well as the journal team from Nature Publishing Group.
