Protesters have always been at the annual BIO conference, the largest biotech conference in the world. And this year’s event in Boston promises to be no different…in fact, the protests could even be bigger. Conference organizers are concerned that because Boston is such a biotech/biomed capital, it’ll draw even more people out.

The Globe is reporting that there are nine events planned, including a parade tomorrow and the Wake Up the Earth Festival in Jamaica Plain today. Other activities are listed here.

Boston police have been preparing since last year, when they attended last year’s conference in Chicago to scope out the security measures. They’ve marked off an area across the street from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for protesters.
