50 years of the Lovell Telescope

That’s the one at Jodrell Bank, near Manchester. The huge dish, still the third largest steerable radio telescope in the world, will be the subject of this talk by Prof Ian Morison, who works at Jodrell and is Gresham Professor of Astronomy.

Faraday, Stephenson and Telford are on the panel, though I suspect they may be actors, to debate whose legacy is the most sustainable. What no Brunel?
