Because we know what a creative bunch Nature Network readers and contributors are, we thought we’d offer you the chance to influence the tools that we develop in the future.
We now have a dedicated Product Manager for Mobile Technologies (that’s phones – iPhones and Android – as well as mobile devices such as the iPad) and Euan is currently collecting feedback on what you would like to see us develop for these devices.
What could Nature Publishing Group be doing on mobile to make your life as a scientist easier / provide you with a bit of a distraction?
We’re interested in the sorts of things that you might find compelling as a scientist or even just as somebody interested in science. This could be something around content, a research tool, a game, something that encourages and enables citizen science…
We’d also like to hear if there are any features of mobile devices that you think are particularly interesting in a scientific context.
The ideas can be as blue sky as you like, though ideas that could be implemented in the short – mid term are very welcome. Please note, we can’t promise to create apps for all the suggestions made and if we do use or adapt your suggestion, we aren’t offering any financial reward.
So please put your thinking caps on and post your suggestions below – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
