Henry Gee Talks Nature At UCL

Now this should be fun:

A candid look at what goes on inside the world’s most prestigious scientific journal. Dr. Henry Gee joined Nature in 1987 as a news reporter on a three month contract. Twenty-four years later, he’s still there, and is now a senior member of the editorial team. The author of several books including Jacob’s Ladder: The History of the Human Genome and The Science of Middle-earth, Dr Gee is one of the most influential people in [the] world of science – he chooses what stories the world gets to hear and what gets left out. Join us for an opportunity to pick his brains.

We all know Henry, right? The Nature editor was one of the first bloggers to join Nature Network when we first started some three and a half years ago. On the web or in real life, Henry is a veritable acrobat of words and ideas, and the chance to hear him speak should never be missed.

This event takes place on 26 October from 6.30pm in UCL’s Darwin Lecture Theatre. Entrance is free and there’s no need to book. The talk is organised by the Grant Museum, currently closed for a change of address.
