Iran launches nuclear website

Iranweb.jpgThe Iranian government has launched a website extolling the virtues of its nuclear programme. Unfortunately for nuke lovers, the site is only available in Farsi, but Google Translate does a reasonably good job of translating the thing into English.

Articles include “”https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=fa&tl=en&u=https://www.irannuclear.net/%3Fq%3Dnode/152&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&twu=1&usg=ALkJrhhclbDS9SsMZN0ZBLy9PTsxZ1UOig">Iran and the struggle against weapons of mass destruction", a neat little piece explaining how Iran deplores the use of WMD, in part because of Saddam Hussein’s use of chemical weapons during the Iran-Iraq war.

There’s also a nifty little Google Map of Iran’s declared nuclear facilities, along with some helpful descriptions (Natanz, the site of a controversial enrichment plant only gets about a sentence). There’s also some photo galleries and the like with pictures of different bits of the atomic establishment (though no centrifuges). Oh, and the videos, from what I’ve seen, are a must watch.

But click on Iran’s “”https://www.irannuclear.net/node/2">nuclear programme goals" from the homepage and you’re out of luck. “You are not authorized to access this page,” the website says…Maybe I need a Tehran IP address.
