October sees a brand new event come to London: London Science Festival 2011. The stated mission is “to inspire and engage the public in all things scientific, from natural science to science in its most cultural contexts” and organisers are currently accepting applications from individuals or organisations who would like to run an event as part of the festival.

Your event must run during the festival week (19-26 October 2011) but can be part of a longer series or exhibit. No need to worry if you don’t have a venue: organisers will match proposals with venues from their partner organisations which include museums and HE institutions.

The only downside: applications close THIS FRIDAY, May 13th. So if you have a idea for an event, hurry over the London Science Festival blog and apply now.
