You’ll remember back in November we announced that Nature Network had recruited some fresh faces to complement members of the old team. Since Eva has now moved on to her new job in Cambridge (although we’re happy to say she’ll still be blogging here), we’d like to introduce our newest team member, Joanna Scott.
Many of you will already know Jo from her time in Second Life where she built and maintained our international virtual community. She has also been a regular blogger here on NN updating us not just on NPG’s activities in SL, but also showing that she can take animal pictures like some of our other regular bloggers!
So just to recap on the current team members:
Steve Scott is Head of Online Communities at NPG. He likes single malt and cycles a lot, but rarely at the same time.
Lou Woodley is Nature Network’s Product Manager and your first point of contact for anything about the site. Prior to this she worked on the Elucian Islands, NPG’s presence in the virtual world of Second Life. She’s relishing the challenges of a new role that no longer involves being able to fly or teleport.
Ian Mulvany continues in his role as Nature Network’s Product Development Manager. He’s an ex-astrophysicst, climber and python code monkey. His tipple of choice is a well poured Guinness in Ireland or a fresh Kolsh in Germany.
Matt Brown continues in his role assisting with Nature Network’s Community Management tasks especially all things to do with blogging as well as being London’s hub leader. Matt is a walking, talking A-Z of London science, blogging, history and culture.
Joanna Scott assists with Nature Network’s Community Management tasks especially helping with the groups and forums. Before Nature, she did a biology degree at Oxford, and remains interested in evolution, conservation and astrobiology. In keeping with NN’s furry animal theme, Jo can occasionally be found in Second Life where her avatar is Joanna Wombat.
We hope you’re getting to know us all by now and look forward to making 2010 a memorable year for NN.
