Nature Network London Drinks

Our next social event takes place on 29 August. Same time (from 6.30), same place (upstairs at The Lamb, Lamb’s Conduit Street). And, as usual, the first 30 people or so will receive a free drink.

But listen up. We’re changing the format ever so slightly to make it easier for you to see who’s coming, and carry on conversations after the event. Two things:

1. If you’d like to come along, please join our new Events Group. Let us know if you’re hoping to attend, and use the associated discussion forum to ask any questions or start conversations with other attendees. The forum is very new, so if it looks quiet don’t be shy of jumping in with a comment.

2. Bring along a print-out of your Nature Network profile. You’ll need this on the night to entitle you to a free drink. You can also use it as a kind of informal business card if you’re so inclined.

This is the sixth time we’ve hosted one of these get-togethers. The evening is open to anyone working in the sciences in London. The informal atmosphere is perfect for getting to know scientists from other institutions and disciplines in the local area.

We look forward to seeing you on 29 August.

Nature Network London Drinks

It’s almost that time of the month again. Our next gathering will be held one week today, on Wednesday 25th July. It’s the same venue and format as usual.

1. Turn up to the Lamb, on Lamb’s Conduit Street any time from 6.30.

2. Go up the stairs.

3. Order a drink from the bar (those who get there early get a free drink).

4. Mingle with assorted scientists from across London, as well as friendly Nature editors.

This monthly event is increasingly popular. We reckon around 40 people came along last time, to talk science in an informal atmosphere. Everyone’s welcome – last time, one person even brought her mum.
