Last night’s Science Showoff was standing room only at the Wilmington Arms and featured some brilliant performers (a particular highlight for this child of the 80s was Phonetician Jane Setter and linguist Tim Wharton educating us about intonation through the song “Doing Intonation” to the tune of the Locomotion!).
But the personal highlight for me, with truly no bias, was my colleague Charlotte Stoddart from Nature Video showing us the tribute made by Nature Video earlier this summer to the closing space shuttle programme. if you haven’t seen it, you must. Eight minutes well spent:
