Although it hasn’t been in the news as much, the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland continues to spew ash into the atmosphere, endangering the travel plans of would-be holidaymakers everywhere.
“Presently there are no indications that the eruption is about to end,” said the Icelandic Met Office yesterday.
This 11 May photo from NASA’s Terra satellite shows the ash extending over 800 kilometres away from the volcano.
