The Royal Institution has today announced that the Christmas Lecture Series 2011 will be given by Professor Bruce Hood, Director of the Bristol Cognitive Development Centre at the University of Bristol. The three part series will be entitled Meet Your Brain and promises to explore how our brains work and just what makes us truly human and explain how you create your own version of reality, what makes your brain decide what information to trust and what to ignore (without you even knowing!) and why you are programmed to read other people’s minds
The lectures will be shown on BBC Four over Christmas, but Londoners have a chance to see them being filmed live: filming will take place on Monday 12th, Thursday 15th and Saturday 17th December at the Royal Institution. Information on how to get tickets will be available soon on the RI website or watch Nature Network London for the details when we have them.
