Beautiful, baffling, jawdropping and down right scary in equal measure, the Kinetica Art Fair is back. The annual show brings together moving art work, visualisations and robotic technology in one of the creative highlights of the London sci-tech calendar.
This year’s cyber-freakshow includes robots made from salvaged animal parts, a holographic interface with Second Life and, get this, a man with an internet-enabled ear surgically attached to his wrist.
For a taster, the BBC have put together this preview video. Oddly, there’s no presenter. Perhaps they’ve got a robot to operate the camera.
The Kinetica Art Fair is at Ambika P3 (warning, useless arty web site), just off Marylebone Road.
Open
Friday, 4 February: 10am-8pm
Saturday, 5 February: 10am-8pm
Sunday, 6 February: 10am-6am
Tickets for the art fair alone are £12 (£10 concessions) while a day ticket (which gets you into talks and performances) costs £15 (£12 concessions).
More information on the fair can be found on the official website.
