Round-up: of spiders, EDMs and maths

Wednesday always brings a new host of stories; an interesting one today comes from Imperial College who have produced 3D models of two fossilised species of harvestmen (Daddy-long-legs), eight legged organisms which lived more than 300 million years ago. The most interesting thing about this is the method used to generate the 3D visualisation: see the video at the Imperial website.

Elsewhere on Nature Network, Londoners might be interested in Lee Turnpenny’s latest post? on science in politics, and specifically his discoveries on scientific (and unscientific) EDMs.

Last but not least, my Twitter’s top story this morning, a cheap (but good) mathematical laugh at Metro’s expense: a picture of today’s advertising front page.
