Stitched Science: Knitted bacteria wars

Readers may remember a few weeks ago a call to knit and stitch science for a new exhibition at the Science Museum. If your Lithobius forficatus has only reached 99 legs, I’m afraid it will have to wait for next year’s collection as the items were displayed this weekend at a two day event called Stitched Science.

The above picture is by Londonist’s Matt Brown, formerly of Nature Network, who was there for the event. He has posted a gallery of pictures over at the Londonist – I think I like the plug and socket the most, but the biologist in me also has a soft spot for the bacterial Goodies vs Baddies. The items have now left the Science Museum, but you can see more from organisers Stitch London on their website.
