Well, OK, you probably guessed before clicking, given the geographical focus of this site.

The World Federation of Science Journalists selected our city over Trieste, which also had a strong bid.

London will play host to the globe’s finest science reporters at the 6th World Conference in 2009. The decision was made in Melbourne, currently hosting this year’s meeting. Over 300 journalists from some 60 countries will gather in London to discuss key issues affecting science communication.

Congratulations to the Association of British Science Writers who, with Nature as a media partner, put the successful bid together.
