Some of the world’s finest minds will gather in London on 16-17 October for the second annual The Amazing Meeting, London (or TAM London). A superb line-up will see famous skeptics, comedians, magicians and TV personalities championing the causes of rational and critical thinking in an increasingly bemusing world.

That ‘Amazing’ word is no idle adjective, by the way. Just look at the lineup.

Lord High Skeptics Richard Dawkins, James Randi and Simon Singh, are all present and correct, of course. They’ll be joined by household names such as Stephen Fry, Tim Minchin, Graham Linehan and Alan Moore. And, certainly household names in these parts, Ms Karen James of the Beagle Project and Adam Rutherford of Nature.

Other notable skeptics include the effortlessly entertaining Richard Wiseman, PZ Myers, and novelist and Boing Boing editor Cory Doctorow.

The event takes place at the Hilton London Metropole, and tickets cost £208 for a two-day pass. Sounds a lot of money but, from experience, you will get value for money.
