I’ve been talking to lots of Harvard scientists lately for a story I’m writing for Nature and the topic of collaboration kept coming up…specifically, how important distance is in collaboration. The shorter, the better.

So that’s one reason why we at NN designed our website from day one to bring local communities of scientists together online. We started here with Boston, then expanded with London and we’re going to launch more cities this year on Nature Network.

Vote for the cities you want to see on NN by telling us what city you work in. Go to your profile, click on ‘edit your profile’ and then click on ‘change your location’. You’ll be asked to pick your city and then to pick which regional hub you best fit in.

We’re keeping track of how quickly each hub grows. The ones that grow the fastest and get to be the biggest will likely be the cities we launch on NN!
