Images from NASA’s Dawn probe have been used to create this rather awesome flyover video of the Vesta asteroid.

Dawn flew by the giant asteroid in July and the data it sent back have already excited planetary scientists (see: Close-up of Vesta poses puzzle). It is due to depart in July 2012 and head on to its next stop. All being well, it should arrive at the Ceres asteroid in 2015.
