Well, electronics has been – and still kind of is– a boy’s club. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that the newly inaugurated Kendall Square “Entrepreneur Walk of Fame” features six white guys.
With the Cambridge Center Marriott playing the role of Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the city and the MIT Entrepreneurship Center today unveiled honorary plaques cemented into the concrete plaza outside the Red Line T stop.
The list of innovators will help Cambridge overcome its reputation as the most politically correct place in the universe. And Bill Gates and Bob Swanson can serve as bookends to the ten white scientists – like Darwin and Copernicus — whose names are carved in stone at the other end of MIT.

But, it’s no longer 1924 and women are making some headway. So, we take this opportunity to link to a story on female tech entrepreneurs and hope that some of them will one day get their own stars outside the Marriot.
