Win! Win! Win! Cell trump cards

Remember Top Trumps? Queen Mary University of London’s Centre of the Cell have developed a set of cards based on the popular game of statistics. Forget dinosaurs, superheroes and power boats. Their pack features different cell types from the human body.

Each card caries four categories: number in body; number an adult makes each minute; number of functions; length; and Number of Queen Mary scientists studying the cell type. As well as being tremendous fun, it’s also educational. Who knew that the average adult makes 430 million gut-lining cells every minute? Trust me, it’s addictive (playing the game, not making gut cells).

We have three packs to give away. All you have to do is answer the following question, the answer to which can be found on the Centre of the Cell’s website.

About how many other neurons does a brain neuron typically link to?
