ACS: It’s nearly over. Nearly, but not quite

The meeting is coming to a close, and I’ve run out of time to tell all about many of the talks I’ve seen. But watch out for a news story later this week about some exciting cometary origins-of-life news.

San Francisco has been wonderful, and as usual the ACS meeting has been mind-blowing, in part due to its vastness. As a neat reminder about how exciting chemists can get when doing what they love most – mixing coloured liquids together – here’s a video that Lee Cronin from the University of Glasgow showed me. It’s of the Cronin group mascot, Isobot, doing his first ever experiment. Well done Isobot! You’ll have a PhD in no time.
