Cell Death & Differentiation special issue on capsases

The journal Cell Death & Differentiation presents its first special issue of its 2007 series with ‘Caspases’, cysteine proteases that are essential for executing apoptosis (programmed cell death). This research and teaching resource includes comprehensive articles on the basic biology of caspases, their mechanisms of activation, cellular substrates, natural and synthetic inhibitors, apoptopic and non-apoptopic functions and their role in inflammation and immunity.
