Those hungry for answers to the mysteries of the cosmos gathered at the Skirball Centre in New York on Thursday night to learn about the dark side of the universe. The aim of this spectacularly engaging production was to discover more about the unknowns of the universe, with a panel consisting of some of the world’s leading researchers in the fields of physics and cosmology. The beautiful Galapagos Art Space was the venue for a satisfying cabaret-style evening focusing on, and led by, female scientists. The intimate, candlelit setting allowed the audience to sit in cosy groups around small bar tables on “islands” separated by small ponds of water. Each pond reflected the more mechanical structures of the building, creating a slightly surprising contrast of both a natural and urban environment indoors. Read more
