    Many of the skills a scientist might have are definitely transferable to other industries. How can a scientist find that common ground language-wise to convey this to potential employers? For example, there obviously has to be time and project management to succeed at a PhD, but many job ads specify “PMP certification.” It certainly doesn’t make sense to keep chasing certificates when the skills are already acquired at the abstract level. What would be your advice?
