{"id":2036,"date":"2006-11-30T15:36:19","date_gmt":"2006-11-30T15:36:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.nature.com\/thescepticalchymist\/2006\/11\/feedback-loop.html"},"modified":"2006-11-30T15:36:19","modified_gmt":"2006-11-30T15:36:19","slug":"feedback_loop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.nature.com\/thescepticalchymist\/2006\/11\/feedback_loop.html","title":{"rendered":"Feedback loop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For those of you who celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a relaxing holiday and an enjoyable Thanksgiving dinner (raise your hand if someone tried to convince you that the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.mit.edu\/newsoffice\/2006\/thanksgiving.html\">tryptophan in turkey makes you tired<\/a>&#8230;) My wife and I had a small gathering at our apartment, where <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.nature.com\/thescepticalchymist\/2006\/11\/if_you_dont_eat_yer_meat_you_c.html\">we consumed the Roast Ox potato chips<\/a> and I learned that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taquitos.net\/snacks.php?snack_code=1404\">Lay&#8217;s makes turkey-flavored potato chips<\/a> (&#8220;&#8221;https:\/\/www.taquitos.net\/snacks.php?snack_code=1404&quot;&gt;They really do taste like turkey with gravy &#8230; It&#8217;s like combining the best parts of Thanksgiving dinner, all in one bag.<\/a>&quot;)<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, when I was in London a few weeks ago, I had my yearly appraisal &#8211; these appraisals always take place in November or December, so we often talk about our plans for the following year&#8230; We already have a few things planned for 2007 (and 2008), but I&#8217;d be curious to hear what you&#8217;d like to see more of (or less of) next year.
