Occasionally a speaker will find themselves speaking to a handful of people in a large hall, while, somewhere along the corridor, a 100 people might be trying to squeeze into a room with 64 chairs. A senior APS figure was overheard to speculate in Baltimore that the reason that some sessions were oversubscribed was because they were highlighted on the Nature site!
