MIT was the only university this year to win more than one National Medal of Science, the country’s top science award. Tissue engineering and drug delivery expert Robert Langer, former MIT president Charles Vest, and physicist Daniel Klepper all took the honors.

They’ll get to shake hands with Bush later this month.
