Apologies again for being so quiet here. It was a week ago that we went live with the new website and we’ve been spending that week finding and fixing bugs (and catching up on some sleep!). We’re doing an update today and will do another one next week to get it into tip-top shape.
We’ve had about 100 new people register and join in the last week, which is exciting.
Kudos to Michael Durney, a postdoc at Harvard Medical School who has singlehandedly grown his group, Biomolecular NMR spectroscopy, from less than 10 members to now almost 40, making it the biggest and fastest growing group on NN. He’s also posted a few items on the group’s forum already.
He’s showing just how you can use NN’s groups and forums to bring a community of researchers together. I encourage those 40 members to start posting on the forum. And if you’re an NMR person, join the group!
I’ve also been remiss in introducing our latest blogger. Jacqueline Floyd, our first non-Boston-based blogger and our first geoscientist. She’s an experienced blogger and like us, is developing new web tools for scientists at Element List.. Welcome Jackie!
I’m always looking for bloggers and now you don’t have to be from Boston to do it. Email me if you’re interested: c.lok AT boston.nature.com.
