Researchers’ Night at Queen Mary College and Natural History Museum

Something that sounds unmissable to flag up: this Friday is Researcher’s Night, an annual Europe-wide event to bring the public and researchers together to celebrate research being done in all fields.

To celebrate, Queen Mary, University of London has planned a whole evening of events spread across two campuses for the whole family on topics from sudokus to artificial intelligence. With a heavy emphasis on interactivity, you can try out all sorts of new technology, talk to researchers or take part in a Cafe Scientifique, to name just three of dozens of activities. The programme looks absolutely amazing – do look now, as the events on the Whitechapel campus need booking.

Events begin at 3pm and run till 9pm: refreshments available throughout. If you are still enthused for science after all that, or just on the other side of town, the Natural History Museum is also participating in Researchers’ Night and will have a special event called Science Uncovered with special events running 4pm-11pm. Again, check the programme in advance as some events need booking.
