If so, you might want to take a look at the Society of Biology Science Communication Awards 2011. Two different awards, one for early stage researchers (up to first year of post-doc), one for established researchers, the awards aim to recognise the outstanding contributions that bioscience researchers make to communicating science to the public.

Nominations are due by 19th August and the award ceremony will be in November.
