We at NN have been busy planning a makeover of Nature Network. The features aren’t changing, but the look will. We’ve posted a preview of some of the changes here. In short, we’ll be getting rid of the box in the left-hand margin and moving those links to the top of the page. This will make more space in the body of each page for more content. Stay tuned!

And for those of you in Boston, our regular NNB pub nights took a bit of a hiatus over the summer, but we’re back, bigger and better. We’re doing something a little different: inviting a couple of speakers to start off some fun, “blue-skies” discussions about what your dream project in science would be. We’re calling it the Dream Big Challenge. Forget funding limitations, laboratory practicalities, or reality, for that matter! What experiments do you wish you could do?
