JAMA unveils new editor-in-chief

The respected Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has announced Howard Bauchner as its new editor-in-chief.

Bauchner is currently based at the Boston University School of Medicine, where he works in paediatrics. He replaces Catherine DeAngelis, who announced she was stepping down last year after a decade in charge.

In his new role Bauchner will oversee all nine of the Archives specialist journals published by the AMA as well as JAMA, one of the world’s most important medical journals.
