Nature Network drinks: how was it for you?

Thanks to everyone who came along last night. Our final social gathering of the year was our biggest yet, with something like 50 people showing up.

We had a mixed crowd from Imperial, King’s, UCL, NIMR, Royal Institution, and even the University of Cambridge.

If you’ve any comments, questions or suggestions, head over to our events forum and share your views.

Thanks again to all those who came to our nine events in 2007. Next year, we’ll be trying out a few more venues, so again please leave suggestions in the events forum.

Nature Network drinks: How was it for you?

The August lull and an Arsenal European match did not affect the numbers at last night’s shindig.

Around 40 scientists crammed into the upper bar at The Lamb for our sixth monthly gathering.

We welcomed representatives from many institutions:

Campaign for Science & Engineering in the UK

Cancer Research UK

Imperial College London

Nature

NIMR

Queen Mary

Royal Institution

Royal Society

UCL

The range of disciplines was perhaps the most varied yet – astrophysicis, cell signalling, genetics, materials science, neurobiology, petroleum engineering, and probably many more.

Thanks to everyone who came along. If you’d like to continue the conversation, we now have a discussion forum for these events.
