I’ve been saying for ages that London needs a dedicated science festival – one that showcases our city’s incredible heritage (Newton, Darwin, Faraday, Davy, Fleming, Jenner, Franklins Ben and Rosalind, etc. etc.), while at the same time celebrating our current science output, hosting sciency events and perhaps letting everyday people into labs to see what scientists really do (i.e. an ‘Open House’ of science). I
Well, lo and behold, it looks like this might come to pass. Something called the LDN Science Festival 2011 has been busy tossing pancakes in the local social media kitchen, with a dedicated Twitter feed and Facebook page.
Details are still sketchy, but the full website should be up in the Autumn. More soon…
