Nature News reports on the latest plans for the UK Centre for Medical Research and Innovation (UKCMRI), set to be built on spare land behind the British Library. Fresh images of the centre have emerged, while the project’s scientific Chair, Sir Paul Nurse, reveals a few details of its operation:

“Most institutions hang on to their best people. We will not do that…We’re going to put great emphasis on training scientists for the future.”
