The Hubble Space Telescope is in the grasp of the Space Shuttle! The picture here, from NASA TV, shows Hubble from the perspective of the shuttle, minutes before the orbits aligned and astronauts reached out with a robotic arm. A clock on the screen counted down to “The Grapple”. Hubble is now safely within the bay of the shuttle. Tomorrow, astronauts will begin spacewalks in an effort to repair the aging telescope.
